McKenzie Beach is situated on the outskirts of the city centre, less than five minutes drive from the airport. This beach is famous for its beautiful white sand and clean refreshing waters. Here you can enjoy many water sports and even do some scuba diving. There is also an excellent selection of restaurants which are well-known among locals for their fresh seafood and Cypriot cuisine.
Finikoudes is a very popular beach with tourists, here you find a wide selection of water sports for you to try – there are also plenty of sun loungers and parasols available to hire any time of the day. The beach area shelves gently into the water for a refreshing swim and is ideal for children to play. You will also have a wide choice of bars and restaurants across the road from the beach front where you can enjoy a lunchtime snack or a cooling drink.
Dhekelia Beach goes on for miles and forms the backdrop for many of Larnaca's four and five-star resorts. This is one of the best places to socialise and people-watch, as many of the tourists sunbathe here along with the locals. There are lots of water sports on offer as well as other beach activities such as volleyball.
CTO Beach – locally known as Pyla Beach is also located on the Dhekelia Road. This beautiful beach offers various water sports, volleyball and small sided football pitch on the sand. There is also a small play area for the children to enjoy. Situated on the beachfront you will find several restaurants serving excellent lunchtime menus including local meze and of course pitta bread and local tradition dips. A great place to visit to relax, unwind and enjoy the sunshine into the early evening
